Teasel (Dipsacus) is not native to our continent and is treated most everywhere as an invasive species. When it escapes from gardens, the aggressive plant has no native organisms to keep it in check. It forms monocultures and destroys native habitats. Here in Missouri it is listed as a "noxious weed" and is illegal to grow or sell.

Valerian root for perfume? Yes, but it must be compounded with other fragrant oils. Valerian smells almost identical to Spikenard, which is incredibly rare and costly, and is used in some of the most expensive fragrances. I like this young man and what he's doing here. I'm subscribing!

PLEASE, IF YOU SEE THIS....please help!! We have enjoyed blossoms and ripe fruit from many wild elderberry trees. Yet, when we moved, we bought Adams and Johns varieties and planted them near flowers and fruit trees (pollinator attractors) and each year the 'patch' gets bigger with new growth. They bloom nicely and then begin to set berries....and while the green berry is small (approx. BB size) THEY DROP. We have NEVER harvested ripe berries. Any suggestions???

It doesn't really "draw out" the venom. That might happen to a small extent. It's the allantoin and the tannins. They bind the metalloproteinases in the venom. You should also continue to chew on it - not just a poultice. The poultice would be recommend to be much larger in size than that. I would keep chewing and rubbing on the skin - you want plenty of those compounds to absorb in. The compounds absorb through the skin (that's why the poultice - fast absorption through skin...) Note that this is not a recommendation - just what I understand of the matter.

Hey man, don't listen to the haters. I'm christian & I'm also aboriginal, I don't think what you're doing is sacrilegious nor cultural appropriation (well maybe, but it's also nice). You don't need to listen to them. I think it was Very Good that you included that gratitude. People need to know that. (Though, as a hard of hearing person, they are right about the music.) You are out here living your best life & I am happy to watch your videos. If they don't like your videos, they don't need to watch. Stay true to yourself & stay loving!

As an FNMI person, I could be offended or suspicious, but I actually love how you respect the plant & fungus medicine with Smudge. Normally I wouldn't burn smudge or tobacco for a plant, my smudge is usually sage where I live, & we crumple up tobacco at the base of the plant, but whatever indigenous person you learned this from, I'd say trust them more than me because they are actually present & my nation is probably different. I think it's great that you are respecting the world in a way that is (at least similar to the practices that are) familiar to the land you live on.
